Mumbai darshan : Part I

Well, finally I am back !!! A very very hectic month over and now I can heave a sigh of relief. Practicals, exams, packing and then lots of travelling. Allahabad to Jabalpur to Mumbai. But finally I am settled and at peace. In Mumbai for a month, I have already started missing home :( :( though I know that eventually I will adjust here and start having fun :) . Went to south Mumbai on Sunday and loved it!! Started off with colaba causeway then to gateway and finally to marine drive, superbly awesome!! Damn, colaba causeway was so much fun, such vibrant colors and lovely items :) What I liked the most there were the antiques WoW!!!! From globes to gramophones, everything was available :). And the crowd there, too good, every person there had a personality of their own, cool na? Then we went to gateway, it was beautiful but it was very crowdy :( .Wanted to go around the sea in the ferry but saw the waiting line and turned back :( :(. Saw the iconic Taj for the first time (I liked it better in the photos though :P ). Had the famous vada pav there , sorry to say, didn’t like it much :( :( . From there we went to marine drive, fell in love with the place <3 , the wind , the lights, the feel, heavenly !!! Couldn’t stop myself from sitting there even though we were getting late . Then the lukha vella that I am , roamed about the streets for another hour, with my sister continuously shouting at me for going to room :P . Finally when all my excuses ended, I had to return :( . But will surely go there once again.
All was not as well as it sounds though. Saw kites, so much excitement, hype and waiting. All I got in return was 3 hrs wasted :x :x . Hate Hrithik for making such yuck movies :x . Though the place we went to have dinner after the movie was great and the interiors , awesome!!!
And yeah did I tell you that I travelled in the world famous local trains of Mumbai, I have to say, it is another world experience :) and yeah also the double decker bus , too good :). After seeing the night life of Allahabad, mumbai’s was beyond comparison (roamed about in hiranandani at 12 in the night :P :P ) . Well, all that has ended :( . Now that di has gone, I am not allowed to go around anywhere (courtesy my mom).
More about my Mumbai stay in the next post, now that I am full time vella, I will keep on posting (keep reading, if you can bear it :P :P )
Till then ciaos :)
